Gateway Academy, a 3rd- 12th grade Phoenix school for Twice Exceptional students, who have been diagnosed with Asperger’s or High Functioning Autism, is hosting its ANNUAL COMEDY FUNDRAISER on Sunday February 9th, 2019. A silent auction begins at 5pm and the live comedy show begins at 7pm. Former Gateway student, Tru Steinberg, will perform and host our event. It will feature NY comic Andy Steinberg (Tru’s Dad), LA comic Logan Guntzelman and Headliner Dave Waite, as seen on LATE NIGHT WITH JIMMY FALLON, COMEDY CENTRAL’S NOT SAFE WITH NIKKI GLASER, AND LAST COMIC STANDING.
This year, Gateway is raising money to support the expansion of the music program, including a new soundproof music wing. You can support this event by purchasing tickets, donating or bidding on auction items, or making a monetary gift. Gateway is a non-profit organization a donations are tax-deductible. The new music wing would be a soundproofed home to our current Instrumental Music program and Digital Music Program. In addition, it would allow Gateway Academy to add Music Recording and Production to the curriculum. Talented students would have the opportunity to develop a music portfolio for prospective colleges or producers. Gateway offers a competitive curriculum that allows students to collaboratively work together to discover and develop their individual gifts and strengths, become self-advocates, and realize their full potential. A safe, thoughtfully prepared sensory sensitive environment encourages mutual trust, respect, and acceptance among those in its school community. We hope you will join our community and support Gateway academy and its students. Thank you!
